Making an Impact on Your Organization
Frank Eggloff is a strong believer in Executive Education at Harvard Business School (HBS), having previously participated in three programs. The lessons he learned in each program have been invaluable to Eggloff as the CFO of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) for State Street Bank International. So when he wanted to improve his ability to drive organizational strategy, he once again turned to HBS and attended Driving Corporate Performance. He shares some highlights of his experience in the program.
Why did you choose to enroll in the program?
Based on programs I've taken in the past, Harvard Business School is always a great experience. Everything is brilliant—the professors, the content, the groups and how they are configured.
How did this program compare with the other executive courses you've taken at HBS?
This was my fourth program, and it was just as great as the others. In fact, it was outstanding! Obviously the content was different, but I found it easy to connect with the other participants.
Was there any aspect of the program that you found particularly valuable?
The new online Job Design Optimization Tool (JDOT) is wonderful. This is something that you can practically and easily use in an organization. I sometimes talk with my direct reports about my week in the program, and it will be great to share this tool and the other things I have learned.
How would you describe the program's value to someone who's considering it?
The value of the program is overwhelming. The content is outstanding and very well thought out, like everything I’ve experienced at HBS so far. You will get much more value in return than what you expect. I also recommend enrolling a group of people from your company, so you can apply what you’ve learned as a team and maximize ROI.
