Verónica Goldfart is the Head of Industry – Finance, Automotive, and Government for the Ads business unit at Google Chile. She came to the Leading in the Digital Era program at Harvard Business School Executive Education looking for new leadership perspectives on digital maturity and strategic frameworks to help her clients successfully navigate their digital transformations.
Can you describe your program experience?
The Leading in the Digital Era program has been amazing. The individual living groups are very diverse, which created a great environment for discussing the cases we've explored in class, and for preparing for the next day's cases.
It's definitely a great way to keep interacting, sharing, and learning with your peers outside the classroom and in other areas as well.
What stands out to you about the program faculty team?
Besides being world renowned in their fields, the faculty have so much personal experience across units, industries, and countries. They are experts in leading the class and moving the cases forward to bring out the best in every participant.
It was so exciting when the faculty brought the actual case protagonists into our classroom. We heard firsthand about the obstacles they had to overcome to thrive, and we were able to ask questions related to our own leadership challenges.
Speaking of the case studies, did you find them relevant to your role?
I was surprised at how up to date the case topics were, and how they could be applied to every industry and business. The case studies are a great springboard for class discussions, and they allow you to learn from the other participants and from the faculty. Each participant brings different perspectives and insights to the topics—and that contributes to the actionable conclusions and action items we compile at the end of each class.
What advice would you give to someone who's considering the program?
I would advise anyone who's considering this program to take it without a doubt. Digital transformation is a very hot topic right now, and I found the program and the networking opportunities to be invaluable from a leadership aspect, both professionally and personally.
