HBS Executive Education is an immersive learning experience—one that empowers senior executives to reflect, recharge, and reemerge as visionary leaders. Our programs offer the rare opportunity to step back from your daily responsibilities, reevaluate your career goals, and reset your direction. You'll return to your company with fresh insights on your professional and personal strengths, strategies for taking your leadership skills to the next level, and a global network of peers whose challenges mirror your own.
Please note that you must have at least 10 years of experience to apply, and your organization must sponsor your participation.
Executive Education vs. an MBA or Executive MBA
Harvard Business School does not offer a part-time MBA or an Executive MBA (eMBA) program. The MBA program at HBS requires full-time attendance for two years.
If you're an experienced executive, Executive Education programs can take you to the next stage of your career, prepare you to guide your business through specific challenges, and ultimately help you become a more effective leader. All of our programs are full-time and taught by HBS professors. Employers agree to relieve you of your day-to-day responsibilities while you attend the program, which can range from a few days to many weeks.
If you're looking for an alternative to an eMBA, the Program for Leadership Development (PLD) is an accelerated learning experience that can also advance your leadership abilities. However, unlike an eMBA, PLD is tailored to your unique needs and leadership challenges. This intensive 28-week program is distinguished by one-on-one coaching, collaborative learning through living groups, personal strategy projects, and practical application to your everyday business situations.
