In today's private equity and venture capital industry, high-growth markets across Asia offer considerable appeal to investors, with many Western firms vying to penetrate these potentially lucrative markets, particularly China. In addition to unique opportunities, however, these emerging markets also present daunting challenges. Business leaders must have the ability to understand and access a complex process for due diligence, a relatively nascent financial industry, the role of government, as well as language and cultural barriers that can impede an investor's ability to formulate a winning investment strategy. To address these critical issues, the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University (Tsinghua SEM) and Harvard Business School (HBS) jointly offer Private Equity and Venture Capital—China. Held in Beijing, this unique Executive Education program explores effective new approaches to achieving and sustaining long-term success in Asia and around the globe.
