Corporate decision makers often struggle to balance investors' expectations of financial performance and the demands of other stakeholders focused on nonfinancial— environmental, social, and governance—performance. In this new program, you'll discover how leading companies are developing innovative products, processes, and business models to meet both financial and nonfinancial objectives.
Leveraging the latest faculty research and new HBS cases, you will explore the connections between sustainability and financial performance, gaining an understanding of emerging best practices that will help you drive higher levels of value to both shareholders and society.
You will examine topics such as the importance of sustainability strategies in today's business environment, the challenges of measuring sustainability initiatives, the opportunities presented by a focus on sustainability, the use of integrated reporting to drive change, and the role of information intermediaries.
The program is ideally suited to senior executives who are responsible for creating, executing, or communicating the company's sustainability strategy, including sustainability officers, general managers, chief financial officers, and many others. It also is appropriate for investment managers with long-term horizons.
