Participants learn how to leverage the strengths of the family business and implement strategies that drive high performance, shareholder loyalty—and productive family relationships.
What You Can Expect
This program examines the management principles and best practices of high-performance family businesses in the context of Chinese culture. Cases and lectures use examples of Chinese family companies to illustrate the universal issues that confront family business systems. Through dynamic interaction in the classroom, you will explore topics critical to family-owned companies, such as managing succession, developing the next generation, growing the business while maintaining ownership control, and preserving loyal shareholder relationships. You will discover how to formulate strategies for achieving common goals, addressing conflicts, and securing the future of your business and your family.
Your Course of Study
Offered in partnership with Harvard Business School and the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University (Tsinghua SEM), this Executive Education program delivers the proven tools and frameworks that successful family businesses around the globe use to resolve issues in their own companies.
Who Is Right for the Program
This family business program is designed for teams of two or more family members of both genders and preferably from two generations. Non-family executives, board members, and advisers also may attend as part of a family team. Participants represent a range of geographies, industries, and companies in diverse family, business, and ownership stages.
