This offer is available to HBS alumni* only, is nontransferable to colleagues, partners, or other company executives, and is subject to the standard HBS Executive Education cancellation and admission policies. What constitutes alumni status?
A Harvard Business School alumnus/a is defined as any person receiving a degree from Harvard Business School in a qualifying program.
Current HBS programs that grant alumni status include:

- Joint Program with Harvard Kennedy School (MPP/MBA and MBA-MPA/ID)

- Owner/President Management Program (OPM)

How can I verify my alumni status?

What is an HBS Executive Education open-enrollment program?
Unlike our custom programs and alumni programs, participation in HBS Executive Education open-enrollment programs is available to professionals in both the private and public sectors. Company sponsorship is required, and acceptance is based on professional qualifications. Open-enrollment programs include more than 60 learning opportunities that you can explore by topic, program type, or level of experience.
Are all HBS Executive Education open-enrollment programs eligible for the alumni discount?
The 30-percent alumni discount applies to all HBS Executive Education open-enrollment programs with the exception of three off-campus courses:
- Global CEO Program for China (CEIBS, Shanghai, China; IESE, Barcelona, Spain; HBS, Boston, MA USA)
- Leading Change and Organizational Renewal (Stanford Graduate School of Business)
- Senior Executive Program for China (Tsinghua-SEM, Beijing, China; CEIBS, Shanghai, China; HBS, Boston, MA USA)
Can I apply the alumni discount to an HBS custom program for my organization?
The 30-percent discount is available only for HBS Executive Education open-enrollment programs and may not be applied to HBS custom programs.
Will I receive the alumni discount when attending HBS alumni or past-participant programs?
HBS programs developed exclusively for alumni and former Executive Education participants are not eligible for the 30-percent discount. These include:

If I sponsor another manager from my organization to an HBS Executive Education open-enrollment program, can that individual take advantage of my alumni discount?
Colleagues, partners, and other company executives also must be HBS alumni in order to qualify for the 30-percent discount. This discount benefit is exclusive to HBS alumni, nontransferable, and subject to standard HBS Executive Education cancellation and admission policies.
Can I send or bring my spouse or partner to an HBS Executive Education open-enrollment program and have that person receive the alumni discount, as well?
Only spouses or partners who qualify for HBS alumni status are eligible to receive the 30-percent discount. This discount benefit is exclusive to HBS alumni, nontransferable, and subject to standard HBS Executive Education cancellation and admission policies.
Do I need to note my alumni status on the application in order to receive this discount?
Your application does not require any alumni reference. The 30-percent discount automatically will be reflected in the invoice you receive upon acceptance into the program.
